Certificate Description

The Google UX Design Professional Certificate will allow participants to learn about the foundations of UX design and gain the skills needed to find an entry-level job as a UX designer. UX designers make technology easier and more enjoyable for people to use. They design products and tools so that they are more useful and accessible for users.

Learners will explore the foundational concepts of UX design, including user-centered design, the design process, and accessibility. Learners will also identify common job responsibilities of entry-level UX designers and other teams they might work with and start developing a professional presence online. Part of the design process that learners will explore include empathizing with users, defining their pain points, coming up with ideas for design solutions, creating wireframes and prototypes, and testing designs to get feedback.

Participants will learn these job-ready skills in our certificate program through interactive content (discussion prompts, quizzes, and activities). Along the way, learners will work through a curriculum designed with input from industry leaders and top employers, like Figma, Adobe XD, Deloitte, Cognizant, and Accenture. Learners will even create a portfolio that includes three projects to share with potential employers to showcase the skills you learned in this program.
