Course Description

Student success starts with a clear pathway and target. Students and teachers must have a clear understanding of what success looks like and how to get there. In online learning, there are synchronous and asynchronous strategies for supporting student success. Learning how and when to leverage the strategies is imperative to student success.

The following questions will be addressed in this module.

  • What do my students need to know?
  • What do my students need to be able to do?
  • How are the learning expectations communicated?
  • How will I make learning visible?
  • How do I construct success criteria in an online course – synchronous and asynchronous?

Learning Objectives

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites required to take this course. A teacher licensure is also not required, but highly recommended to help better understand best practices in developing online curriculum.
