Course Description

This continuing education course will focus on preventive health care services that can positively influence the health, quality, and longevity of life. Preventive health includes activities that aid individuals in remaining healthy, such as annual physical exams, vaccinations, and cancer screenings. Throughout the course of a lifetime, preventive health aids individuals in remaining healthy and avoiding or delaying the onset of disease and illness. Regular exercise, healthy eating, avoiding tobacco use, and being seen by a health care provider regularly are core aspects of preventive health care. In this course you will explore various preventive care methods that can be utilized to improve and sustain health and wellness in African American men. The time to complete this activity is approximately 1 hour.
