Course Description

This introductory course offers self-care ideas and strategies for engaging in self-care in the unique context of the COVID-19 pandemic and other stressors that have occurred alongside it. Students will learn about how current events have heightened the risk for healthcare and mental health providers to experience compassion fatigue and ambiguous loss, warranting the need for unique considerations for self-care. The information, strategies, and self-care ideas covered in this course will support mental health providers in ensuring their practice during this unique time continues to be ethical.
