Course Description
This course will focus on learning the correct use of the CPT Coding Manual. Use of the E/M codes, modifiers in procedure codes, and establishing the correct procedure codes for Anesthesia, Surgery, the Integumentary System, Radiology, and Medications. Use of the Appendixes in the CPT Coding Manual will also be covered.
Learning Objectives
- Learn to utilize the CPT Coding Manual correctly
- Identify the categories of the CPT Manual
- Identify proper CPT codes for procedures, radiology, anesthesia, medications surgery and the Integumentary System
- Able to identify uses of Modifiers, and Categories I,II,III in the CPT Coding Manual
Prerequisites
This course requires completion of the following course:
- COH3000X: Medical Terminology
- COH3001X: Anatomy & Physiology
- COH3002X: ICD-10-CM Medical Coding
